Broward County Board of County Commissioners Vote on February 12 to expandprotection under HUMAN RIGHTS ORDINANCE 16 ½

For the past several years, local community activists and organizations havebeen working hard to include "gender identity & expression" and "pregnancy"to the list of protected classes under Broward's Human Rights Ordinance 16½.

Adding these protection classes provides an incredible protective factor forthe growing transgender community who is among the most vulnerable ofindividuals in our county. The amendment to the HRO will provide a level ofprotections for employment, housing and public accommodation that currentlydo not exist.

Show your support and join us in the audience at the public hearing.
When: Tuesday, February 12 at 2:00 PM
Where: Broward Government Center
115 South Andrews Avenue - Room 422
