ArtsUnitedARTEXPLOSION VISUAL ART EXHIBIT OPENS AT ARTSERVE
Reception TonightArtsUnited's ArtExplosion Visual Art Exhibition is on display in the JM Family Enterprises Gallery at ArtServe from February 11 through 29, 2008.

A record 85 artists submitted 240 pieces of art work for this juried, mixedmedia exhibit. A reception to meet the artists and view the work will beheld on Saturday, February 16th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The gallery is locatedat 1350 East Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Parking is always achallenge, so we recommend the free parking in Holiday Park just west of ArtServe on Sunrise and walking the block to the gallery.

Guests at the Artists Reception will be treated to vocal and musical performance, short films, dramatic readings. Published authors will be on hand to read from and sign copies of their books. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this special night. Admission is only $5, and refreshments will be served. Admission to the exhibit at other times is free.

The visual art exhibit and reception are sponsored by ArtServe,Georgie's Alibi and Stork's Bakery Coffee Cafe. This exhibit is the centerpiece and ArtsUnited's two week gay and lesbian arts festivalArtExplosion 2008. ArtExplosion 2008 is made possible through the generous support of Tylenol PM, Comcast, AutoNation, Pride of Greater FortLauderdale, BankAtlantic Foundation, Createabilities and Pride SouthFlorida.

Funding is also provided in part by the Broward County Board ofCounty Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council. TheExpress newspaper and 411 magazine are the exclusive media sponsors and TheAtlantic Resort & Spa is the official hotel of ArtExplosion 2008.
