-Jamaica: The Poster Girl Who Was Cut Out of the Picture
Early last year, Annesha Taylor's face was plastered on billboards, postersand flyers across Jamaica. Dancing and smiling brightly, she looked vibrantin her yellow blouse. The caption told her story: She was living with HIV,taking her medication, eating well and, above all, "getting on with life."
There were television spots as well, and radio ads. In a blitz organized bythe Jamaican Ministry of Health, Annesha became the poster child for thecountry's fight against HIV/AIDS. Some people assumed that the 27-year-oldwas an actress. (How could such a beautiful woman be living with such anugly disease?) Others took her apparent well-being as evidence that HIVisn't so dangerous after all.

-Think twice before dumping old car for gas-miser
With gas prices skyrocketing, you may be contemplating dumping your old gas guzzler for something much more efficient. But think before you rush, especially if you are financing your car and have owned it for three years or less, says Consumer Reports. The costs associated with buying a new car (price tag, taxes, new financing, etc.) could end up much higher than the savings you'll recoup in a new Prius or other gas-miser, said Consumer Reports.
