Oil's End
From the steps of the Supreme Court to the White House press room, fromglobal trading exchanges to the snowy reaches of Alaska - over the lastweek, you could hear the creak of history as it began to pivot in ahalf-dozen locales.
The Age of Oil is at an end. Maybe not this year. Maybe not for five years.
But signs of the coming collapse are evident.

Delegates We Need
Let's have a revote in Florida and Michigan, and let the DemocraticNational Committee pay for it.
When Barack Obama's campaign says that Hillary Clinton can't escape theharsh realities of delegate math, it's telling the truth. The problem withthat argument is that neither can he.
After last Tuesday's primaries, it has become increasingly obvious thatneither of the two Democratic candidates for president is likely before theconvention to attain the 2,025 delegates needed to clinch the party'snomination. It appears, instead, that we are headed toward a stalemate.
As a result, the word "superdelegate" has stormed into the vernacular of theAmerican public like no electoral term since "hanging chad."

The UN's Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination harshlycriticized the US record on race after considering oral and writtentestimony submitted by the US government. In its conclusions issued today, the committee urged the US to rectify the "stark racial disparities" incriminal justice systems throughout the country.
